About Me!

From Ketchikan, Alaska, Sarah Short completed her Bachelors of Music in Jazz Studies (with a concentration in Jazz Bass) at the University of North Texas in 2025. During her time at UNT she was a member of numerous ensembles, including the Jazz Strings Lab under the direction of Professor Scott Tixier and the rhythm section of the UNT Jazz Singers, directed by Professor Jennifer Barnes. She studied jazz bass under the instruction of Lynn Seaton.
